Shootings: At Least 45 Shot, 8 fatally Wounded, In Chicago Weekend Gun Violence Across city- police say: At Least 45 Shot, 8 fatally Wounded, In Chicago Weekend Gun Violence Across CityChicago (WLS) — According to authorities, this weekend has seen at least 45 shootings in Chicago, including eight fatalities.
Two teenagers and a 12-year-old boy were hurt in two separate gunshots in Douglas on Friday night.

Around 9:20 p.m., there was a shooting in the 500 block of East 31st Street. The 12-year-old who was strolling with a group of people and the 15-year-old girl who was seated in a car were both hit by gunfire from a silver automobile, according to Chicago police.

After being shot in the leg many times, the youngster was sent to Comer Children’s Hospital. After being shot many times in the back, the girl was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center. Police said both were reported as being in good condition.

A half mile distant, and less than an hour later, a sixteen-year-old kid was shot. Just before 10:15 p.m., he was standing in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant in the 3400 block of South King Drive when someone started shooting, according to the police.

After being shot in the abdomen, the kid was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where authorities stated his condition was serious. There were no reported arrests from either shooting.

Following a gunshot on Saturday in the North Side, a man passed away, according to Chicago police.  According to authorities, the incident took place in the 2900 block of Devon Avenue, close to West Rogers Park, at around 9:45 p.m.

According to Chicago police, the 31-year-old guy was shooting at an unidentified individual who approached him while he was strolling on the sidewalk. After being brought to the hospital, he passed away. Nobody is being held in custody. Area Three detectives of the Chicago police are looking into the shooting.

In the Woodlawn area on Saturday, there was another shooting death. Around 5:15 p.m., on a sidewalk in the 6600 block of South Rhodes Avenue, a man, whose age was not immediately known, was shot by someone, according to Chicago police.

He was rushed to University of Chicago Medical Center after receiving a gunshot wound to the chest, where authorities say he was declared deceased. There were no recorded arrests. Sunday’s incident in Englewood left three individuals injured, Chicago Police said. At 12:38 in the morning, there was gunfire in the 5600-block of Elizabeth Street, close to 56th Street.

According to the police, the group was shot at by another group as they were standing on the pavement. A 39-year-old male was brought to the hospital with a left arm graze.

A 23-year-old lady was admitted to the hospital after suffering a back gunshot wound. She was described as being in fair condition by the police.

The 39-year-old guy who was the third victim was shot in the left hand, but he is anticipated to recover. In Englewood, an 18-year-old lady was shot and murdered around three hours later.

According to authorities, the incident occurred at 3:36 a.m. in the 1300-block of West 72nd Street, close to Ada Street.

According to Chicago police, an 18-year-old lady was shot in the head as she was seated in a parked automobile.

A male, 29, was shot close to Portillo’s in River North’s downtown at the same time, according to the police. Around 3:14 a.m., authorities said, a gunshot took place in an alley next to Portillo’s in the 600-block of North Clark Street.

He was brought to Rush Hospital in excellent condition after being shot in the right calf. As of this now, nobody is being held. Detectives from CPD Area Three are looking into it.

Police discovered a 36-year-old guy in an alleyway in the 700-block of 66th near Halsted Street in Englewood about 8:39 a.m. with gunshot wounds.

After being brought to the hospital, he passed away. CPD is investigating the homicide.
Around 7:59 p.m. a 26-year-old man was found show on the ground in a gangway between two houses in the 11500-block of State Street in the Roseland neighborhood.
He had multiple gunshot wounds to the back. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.
About 30 minutes later, police found two men with gunshot wounds in the 3900-block of West 31st Street in Little Village at 8:32 p.m.

A male, aged 23, had sustained many gunshot wounds to his body. After being brought to the hospital, he passed away. After being shot in the abdomen, a second guy, 35, was sent to a hospital in critical condition.

A weapon was discovered by the police. The 23-year-old may have engaged in gunfire with an unnamed perpetrator who fled the area, according to detectives. Nobody was taken into custody.

According to authorities, there were at least 19 gun-related shootings in Chicago last weekend, including two fatal shootings.
