Kailey Lightner Death: Portland, MI community is mourning the tragic death of a beloved teenager, daughter, friend, and sister who passed away tragically. Kailey Lightner died from an apparent suicide on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.

Locals have called for prayers on behalf of the family following the tragic incident. The teen was found dead from a self-inflicted injury. Portland Jr. Raiders released a statement in the wake of the tragic event; “The Jr.

Raiders and the Portland Community experienced a heartbreaking loss in their family last night.” Kailey was a student at the local high school and a big sister. She loved her family. Kailey died after battling depression and mental instability.

A Meal Train has been started for the family. A GiveHand Fundraiser was started to help raise funds for the beloved girl’s funeral. “It is with shattered hearts and extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Kailey Lightner.
