Brooke Newman, a 23-year-old resident of Jackson, Michigan, and a 2024 graduate of Dorsey College of Nursing passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024.
She was announced dead through a social media publication that read “Our Sweet Brooke your were so good to all of us.” The circumstances surrounding Brooke Newman’s cause of death were not made known to public by the family at the time of this publication.
November 9, 2000, saw the birth of Brooke Elizabeth Newman in Jackson. Beloved as a niece, friend, grandchild, sister, and daughter, Brooke was also.
In 2018, Brooke received her diploma from Lumen Christi Catholic High School. After graduating from Brighton Institute of Cosmetology, she worked as a CNA and obtained her license as an esthetician while pursuing her nursing degree.
August 12, 2024, saw her posthumously awarded a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by Dorsey College of Nursing.
Hugely loyal, funny, fiercely independent, and full of heart were all traits that defined Brooke’s personality. Her parents, Daniel and Karen Newman, cherished and loved her. Her numerous close friends as well as her sisters, Blake and Baylie, loved and appreciated her.
Cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating.
The family will receive friends at Queen’s Church on Saturday, August 17 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Social Work and Activities department at Jackson County Medical Care Facility, where Brooke worked.
