Casey Brown Plymouth MA Death: Man died in Massachusetts Avenue Connector car accident
Plymouth MA:- A 31-year-old Plymouth man has died following a single-car accident that happened on the Massachusetts Avenue Connector ramp to Frontage Road in South Boston. The victim has been identified as Casey Brown. According to reports, Casey Brown, a resident of Plymouth, Massachusetts passed away from injuries sustained in the single-motor vehicle crash.
How did the crash happen?
The crash occurred at approximately 9:40 AM on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, on the Massachusetts Avenue Connector ramp to Frontage Road in South Boston. Early reports claim that a 2004 Dodge Durango was moving on the Massachusetts Avenue Connector toward Frontage Road when the vehicle hit a concrete barrier at the intersection with Frontage Road.
It was also reported that the vehicle caught fire, and came to rest on the exit 16 offramp from Interstate 93.
What happened to Casey Brown?
31-year-old Casey Brown who was identified as the Durango’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by medical personnel.
Ongoing Investigation
Several ramps at the Interstate 93 and Interstate 90 interchange had to be closed. Additionally, Frontage Road at the South Boston Bypass and the Mass Ave Connector to Frontage Road northbound were closed for several hours.
The crash is still under investigation by Troop H of the Massachusetts State Police, the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and investigators from the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office. Troopers received assistance from Boston Fire and EMS, MassDOT, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
