Chet Macht Owatonna MN Death, Owner of Court Sports and More passed away on June 9

The entire community is mourning the death of the owner of Court Sports and More, Chet Macht of Owatonna, Minnesota, who sadly passed away on June 9, 2024. “To say the world lost another good one, is an understatement. Chet, you were an incredible man. The amount of heartache and disbelief once again, so close to home…is immense. Please keep Chet Macht’s family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. About Chet Macht?

Chet Macht was a native of Owatonna, Minnesota. According to his social media profile, he attended RCTC in Rochester, Minnesota from 2010 to 2013, after graduating from Owatonna Senior High School in 1998. He owned Court Sports and More and was employed by the City of Owatonna. Chet Macht served as the Varsity Assistant Coach for Owatonna High School and the Assistant Coach for the Owatonna Wrestling Association.

Many people praised Chet for being a wonderful man, husband, father, brother, and closest friend. Court Sports and More was owned by Chet and Lindsay Macht. The former owners, Mark and Deb Kubat, who opened the store in 1983, sold it to them in 2023. Both Lindsay and Chet Macht have strong community ties and were reared in Owatonna. He was loved and cherished by his wife, Lindsay, his children Lexi, Ashton, Mason and Tate.

Chet Macht obituary and funeral arrangements

On Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, friends may visit the family at Brick-Meger Funeral Home (1603 Austin Road, Owatonna). The Good Shepherd Church (2500 7th Ave NE, Owatonna) will have a funeral ceremony on June 14, 2024, at 11:00 am. A visitation will begin at 9:30 am at the church prior to the service. Everyone is welcome to join us for lunch and fellowship at the Owatonna Eagles Club (141 E. Rose St., Owatonna) after the funeral ceremony.
