36-Year-Old Damon Price killed at Houston Farmers Market: Houston — About 12 hours after shooting and murdering a father of two at the well-known Houston Farmers Market on Airline Drive, two suspects were still at large on Thursday night.

According to family members, Damon Price, 36, arrived at work each day at 3:30 a.m. They never imagined that he would be slain in less than an hour while working. Two suspects—possibly teenagers—reportedly broke into a business at the Houston Farmers Market and attempted to take a golf cart that was parked next to the exit, according to Houston police.

Price, who was in charge of inspecting produce-filled trucks, confronted them around 4:15 a.m., and a brawl ensued.

According to investigators, during the altercation, one of the suspects produced a revolver and shot Price before the two fled.

Houston police stated that they intend to make an arrest using the numerous security recordings at their disposal.

Price’s family members have expressed their inability to comprehend their loss and are pleading for explanations. “I know that he was my baby boy,” Leo Price, Damon Price’s father, remarked.

Leo Price added that following the catastrophe that has rocked the family, information about his son’s passing has started trickling in. “I didn’t get frustrated, I just got hurt,” he stated. “I cherish him. He was my kid. Although none of us are flawless, he wasn’t, yet this incident occurred while he was on the job.”

According to Leo Price, security was present at the farmers market at the time, but they fled, leaving his son to perish, rather than intervening to help. The passing of Damon Price creates a void that the family will never  be able to fill. “He was a good man. He took care of his kids. I didn’t expect this day to come,” Damon Price’s ex-wife, Cheterria Alexander, said.

As the investigation continued, Alexander voiced a request: “Turn y’all self in. Put the guns down. Go to school. Be something. Damon did not deserve this.”  Houston Farmers Market statement:  “We are devastated by the tragic event that occurred this morning and claimed the life of an innocent man and beloved market employee. Our hearts and prayers go out to the victim’s families, friends and our entire Houston Farmers Market community as we navigate this senseless tragedy.
