Death; Sean Flaherty Stow, OH, died on June 7, loved ones mourns


Sean Flaherty of Stow, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2024, he was 44 years old. Sean  resided in Stow with his wife Emily, for the past several years, and they both share a love for their two dogs, Bernie and Lucky. No cause of death was released.

According to obituary released by the family, Sean first taught English and language arts at Wadsworth High School before moving on to Cuyahoga Falls High School. Throughout his 18 years as a teacher and 22 years as a football coach, Sean committed his professional career to serving youth. Having coached the Grizzlies to the regional finals at Wadsworth High School, Sean began his coaching career at Stow-Munroe Falls High School. After that, he was hired as Cuyahoga Falls High School’s head coach, where he guided the Black Tigers for four years. After attending Revere High School and Medina Buckeye High School, he went home to Stow-Munroe Falls High School for the final two seasons.

Friends are welcome to view on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from 4 to 8 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. At Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Road, Stow 44224, on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM, there will be a Mass of the Christian Burial. Interment at Silver Springs Cemetery. The Stow-Munroe Falls Boosters (www.smfboosters.com) would appreciate a memorial gift sent in Sean’s honor instead of flowers, per the family’s wish.
