Eli Medrano Springfield Death: ASA Soccer player, Yeraldin Pardo died in Lake Accotink Park train accident


Alexandria, Virginia:- Two people died following a tragic train accident that happened on Wednesday evening, June 5th 2024 at Lake Accotink Park in Springfield. The victims were identified as Eli Medrano and his mother Yeraldin Pardo. According to reports, Eli Medrano, a standout player on one of the ASA U9 Academy teams and his mother Yeraldin Pardo passed away from injuries sustained in the accident.

How did the accident happen?

According to police, an adult and two children were struck by a train while walking on the tracks in Springfield on Wednesday. The incident occurred at Accotink Park Rd. in Springfield, as reported by Fairfax Police. All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Officials confirmed that Fairfax Police received a call reporting the crash around 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
