Elliott Hill Lewiston ME Death, Auburn Edward Little High School student has died


Auburn Edward Little High School student Elliott Hill of Lewiston, Maine has sadly passed away. He died on Wednesday 5th June 2024. Born on August 17, 2007, spent his life forging genuine connections with those around him. From Clover Preschool to Sherwood Heights Elementary, Auburn Middle School, Edward Little High School, and Lewiston Regional Technical Center, Elliott formed many close friendships.

Who was Elliott Hill?

Elliott had a deep passion for music. He started playing the drums in 5th grade and continued through his sophomore year, participating in Jazz Band competitions and playing in a band called the Amplifiers. His musical tastes were diverse, spanning Rock, Jazz, Rap, and Country. One of his favorite movies was “The Blues Brothers,” known for its car scenes and music. As an athlete, Elliott excelled in several sports. He was an accomplished swimmer in his early years and a formidable soccer player, starting with LAYSA and continuing at ELHS.

Baseball, however, was his favorite. Elliott played for New Auburn Little League, Auburn Suburban Baseball, Auburn Middle School, and Edward Little High School, where he became the varsity catcher, proudly wearing #17. He was a remarkable player, especially as a catcher, always striving to improve as an athlete, student, and person. He also had a special knack for forming strong, meaningful friendships with people with special needs. Besides participating in JV and Varsity sports, he played unified basketball, enjoying team sports with his friends with special needs.

He left behind his brother Joshua Hill, his mother Heather Elliott Hill, his father Rodney Lester Hill, Jr., his grandparents Edgar and Virginia Elliott of Portland and Rodney and Anita Hill of Minot, his aunts Kathryn Hill of Oakland and Allyson Hill of Scarborough, and cousins Patrick and Maxime Guite of Cumberland and Dante and Emmitt Hill-Roberts of Scarborough, and hundreds of extended family and close friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 4 – 8 pm, with words of remembrance at 7:30 pm at Pinette, Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway, Lewiston, ME
