Grant Dial NC, Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina Member Has Passed Away


The Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina extends its sincere sympathies to Grant Dial’s family and friends. Grant departed from this life on June 3, 2024, a Monday. His kind smile and his welcoming demeanor, which made everyone feel like old friends, will be remembered by people all throughout the world. His children and those he inspired to fashion silver into exquisite creations will carry on his extraordinary talent and artistry. Grant belonged to the Lumbee Tribe in North Carolina. We shall miss him on that Powwow highway, in our town, and during our Homecoming.

On Monday, June 3, 2024, Mr. Grant Dial, 72, of Red Springs, North Carolina, departed this world. Grant, who was born on November 15, 1951, was a cherished member of The Red Springs community. Grant was a devoted brother, father, grandfather, and friend whose warmth and generosity enriched the lives of many. He devoted his life pursuing his passions as a silversmith, artist, and educator. He was dedicated to excelling at his craft and sharing his skills and achievements. Everyone who knew him will remember him for his hard work and sense of humor.

His children, Jason Dial (Brandy), Melissa Boone (Marcus), Jeremy Dial (Odalis), Isaac Dial, Jerrett Dial (Heather), Miriah Dial, Lia Dial, and a host of family and friends, will cherish his memories.Grant was the proud grandfather of eighteen grandchildren: Olivia, Isaac, Georgia, Mae, Noah, Naloni, Sloan, Maddox, Onikah, Kollyn, Elisha, Caroline, and Waylon.
