Jacob Penzer Lawrence NY Death: Florida Atlantic University alum died at age 29
Miami FL:- Florida Atlantic University alum Jacob Penzer has passed away. He was announced dead on Sunday, June 2, 2024. Jacob Penzer Z”L died at the age of 29. His untimely passing was a tragedy felt by the entire Brotherhood and his community. Jacob will be missed by his family, friends, and of course his AEPi brothers. He had a profound and lasting impact on everyone he encountered. No cause of death has been reported at the time of this publication.
Who was Jacob Penzer?
Jacob Penzer was born in Lawrence, New York, and later resided in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from Florida Atlantic University as part of the Phi Alpha Class of 2018. Jacob had a larger-than-life presence, becoming the focal point of any room he entered. The Brothers of Phi Alpha remember him fondly for his camaraderie and dedication to both the fraternity and the national brotherhood.
He was a true mensch, known for his big heart and his deep commitment to supporting the Jewish community and the State of Israel. After the events of October 7, Jacob travelled to Israel without hesitation to offer immediate support to the Israel Defense Forces and the local communities affected by the attacks.
His remarkable presence left a lasting impression on everyone he met. To honour Jacob’s memory and continue his legacy, the alumni Brothers of FAU have established a private grant to fund future Jewish events on FAU’s campus. These grants will support initiatives aimed at promoting Holocaust education, Jewish life, and Israeli advocacy.
