James Goy and Lisa Goy died in snow-shovelling murder-suicide, suspect Jeffrey Spaide found dead in Plains Township, PA – Celebsity
James Goy and Lisa Goy Death: Jeffrey Spaide ultimately turned the gun on himself after he had already been responsible for the deaths of two of his neighbours, James Goy and Lisa Goy.
Following the discovery of three bodies in Plains Township, Pennsylvania, on the wintry morning of February 1, 2021, authorities determined that the deaths were the result of a murder-suicide.
After a violent dispute between neighbours, a fatal occurrence occurred in the tranquil town occurred. The quarrel was about shovelling snow, and that was the cause of the argument.
At that time, Plains Township was one of several regions in the Northeast that were struck by a severe snowstorm. As a result, numerous flights were cancelled, and schools were shut down.
Certain places experienced snowfall totals that were greater than thirty inches. This resulted in a significant number of accidents involving motor vehicles.
On that extremely cold February morning, however, Jeffrey Spaide, who was 47 years old at the time, fatally shot his neighbours James Goy, who was 50 years old, and his wife, Lisa Goy, who was 48 years old, outside of their home. When Spaide had finished off the couple, he went back to his house, where he eventually committed suicide the following day.
This is the terrible account of Jeffrey Spaide’s murder-suicide, as well as the turbulent relationship that he had with his neighbours before his death.
Jeffrey Spaide was born on June 16, 1973, and he spent the majority of his childhood and early adulthood in the city of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where he went to school.
Through his studies at Wilkes University and Villanova University, Spaide was able to achieve a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering as well as a Master of Science degree in water resources and environmental engineering.
Spaide is a decorated soldier who served in the United States Navy during the 1990s. He then went on to serve in the United States Army National Guard and the United States Navy Reserve subsequently.
In addition, he was an engineer for more than twenty years of his career. In general, he led what appeared to be a typical life up to the point that he had a fortunate brush with the Goys.
However, The Citizens’ Voice said that Spaide and the Goys had never been able to get along with one another. It was common knowledge that they had been involved in several disagreements.
An explanation was provided by Sam Sanguedolce, the first assistant district attorney for Luzerne County, that “there has been an ongoing dispute between neighbours, some of which involved a dispute about snow disposal and removal.”
They are located on opposite sides of the street from one another, and whenever they were clearing snow from their property, they would toss it across the street at the property of the other individual.
The confrontations that took place between Spaide and the Goys were never reported to the authorities, even though their relationship was tense and unstable. Spaide was not “known to police” in general until the final argument he had with his neighbours, which ultimately proved to be fatal.
