James Tyler Guitars Death, Los Angeles Manufacturer of electric guitars has passed away – Celebsity

James Tyler, Los Angeles Manufacturer of electric guitars and founder of James Tyler Guitars has sadly passed away. He died on Thursday 29th August 2024 leaving family and friends in Shock.

The news of his passing has left many in shock. The circumstances surrounding the actual cause of  James Tyler’s death has not been revealed.

James Tyler began custom electric guitar work and repairs in the early 1970s. Top session players and artists in the Los Angeles studio scene trusted him to deliver what they required in the late 1980s and early 1990s, building his reputation by word of mouth. He listened to customers and continually sought ways to improve.

James’ hands-on expertise with thousands of guitars and a select clientele has given him valuable insight into how things work and what players want.

Modern computerised milling equipment, laser machines, 3D modelling stations, and aeronautical engineering are used to build guitars with the highest quality and precision. Technology never trumps “the human factor” according to James.

Tylers don’t feel sterile like other computing devices in the digital world. James makes sure technology is a tool for professional luthiers, not a replacement.

Tyler’s tiny, talented workforce creates each guitar to order by hand with as much attention to detail as possible, making them comfortable and familiar. The necks are hand-shaped, while the bodies are sanded, painted, and polished for hours.

A 10-step hand-dressing and polishing procedure produces a better fret finish than a computer-controlled machine.

Quality-conscious personnel build, adjust, set up, play, listen to, and test the guitars. Return for a final set-up before packing and shipping. A guitar that feels like an old friend when you play it for the first time requires a careful blend of current technology and old school heritage.

Over the years, James Tyler Guitars has evolved slowly without partners, investors, or sacrifices. All work is done in Los Angeles, California in the same spirit as before. Each instrument is made with a lot of sweat equity, so you can own it right away.

James Tyler’s obituary will be released by the family
