Femi and friend have taken to social media to mourn the death of Backwater Gamblers Water Ski Show Team Member Keith Berger who passed away recently. He died on Friday 7th June 2024 surrounded by his beloved family. He was announced dead by a family member that wrote “It is with the deepest sorrow I share Keith passed peacefully on June 7th in God’s grace. He will be immeasurably missed as a father, husband, friend, son, brother, member of the Backwater Gamblers Waterski Team and John Deere colleague.”

Entrusted with executing precise maneuvers with speed, he harbored ambitions of representing Team USA and ascending to the role of lead driver within our ranks. Beyond his driving skills, Keith’s contributions to the Backwater family extended to site enhancements, meticulous boat maintenance, logistical support for shows and practices, fostering stronger bonds among team members.

Outside the realm of water sports, Keith’s identity was rich and diverse. A devoted spouse, father, and son, he juggled his roles at John Deere, his unwavering loyalty to the Packers, and cherished friendships. His hobbies ranged from motorcycle tinkering to boat upkeep, alongside treasured moments with his family and leisurely cruises along nearby rivers with friends.
