Lauren Martin Normal IL Death, Clinton High School Alumna died in Tazewell County accident


Clinton High School Alumna Lauren Martin of Normal, Illinois has sadly passed away. She died at the age of 32 on Friday 31st May 2024 after a deadly accident in Tazewell County. The news of her passing has left many in shock and disbelief. She was the daughter of Randy and Nancy (Kincaid) Martin born on June 29, 1991 in Bloomington, IL.

Lauren Martin Education and Career

Lauren’s journey through education and community service exemplifies a life lived with passion and purpose. From her formative years at Clinton High School to her roles as a foster parent and advocate for children with special needs, she left an indelible mark on those around her. Her educational path took her through several institutions, each contributing to her growth and development. She started at Heartland Community College, where she likely laid the groundwork for her future endeavors. Moving forward, Lauren pursued higher education at Illinois Wesleyan University and Southern New Hampshire University, demonstrating her commitment to learning and self-improvement.

During her time at Illinois Wesleyan University, Lauren became a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, embracing the values of sisterhood and service that the sorority espouses. This involvement speaks to her desire to connect with others and make a positive impact within her community. Outside of academia, Lauren’s dedication to service extended to various organizations and roles. As a member of the Pierre Menard Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, she honored her country’s heritage and contributed to preserving its history.

Lauren Martin Obituary

Lauren was the loving mother of Wilhelmina Martin. She is survived by her daughter of Normal, IL; her parents, Randy and Nancy Martin of Clinton, IL; her brother Christopher and his wife, Daphney Martin and their son, Archer Mickelson of St. Johns, FL, as well as aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly. Lauren was preceded in death by her grandparents, J. Kennedy, Jr. and Margaret (Graham) Kincaid, and Coy and Alice Jean (Thompson) Martin.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 9-11 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Calvert Funeral Home in Clinton, IL, with Ernie Harvey officiating. Burial will be in Texas Cemetery, Clinton, IL. Memorials may be given to Wilhelmina Martin Trust, 9219 Blue Sage Road, Clinton, IL 61727.
