In Pittsburgh, a guy was taken into jail after he allegedly broke out of police custody and fled a court hearing.

Branden Cohen escaped, according to Clairton police, by running over a policeman while he was restrained.

Pennsylvania State Constable John Borkowski recalled, “I came running through the door and all I saw was my partner lying here on the ground.”

When Borkowski discovered his companion outside the holding cell at Magistrate Armand Martin’s Clairton office, on the ground next to an open door, he stated he could not believe what he was seeing.

Cohen, whose bond was canceled, decided to take a chance and asked to use the restroom. Cohen raced through the policeman and out the back door, one hand free and his feet bound.

Borkowski stated, “He was wearing a belt and one cuff.” “He had leg irons on. The constable shouted, “Come over here so I can cuff you,” as he approached the table to pick up something. He said, “He ran right through me, turning around.”

Police from Clairton, Borkowski, and the Allegheny County sheriff’s officers descended upon the scene.

Borkowski remarked, “We are hitting abandoned houses and knocking on doors.” “They crossed the street and passed by the school. Nothing is present there.”

After being accused of striking his kid’s mother in April, Cohen appeared before the court on a charge of simple assault.

Police were informed by witnesses in court records that there is regular and loud fighting between them. Someone reported hearing children screaming and the victim’s body being banged against walls.

According to some sources, Cohen fled away after the court decided that he had broken his bail because he didn’t want to go back to prison.

Cohen was discovered at a house in the Hill District, according to the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office. He was taken into custody without any problems. After making his getaway, a family member picked him up and brought him to the Hill District house, according some sources

After his escape on Tuesday, sources suggested Cohen will be charged with further crimes.
