Indianapolis IN:- A 34-year-old Indianapolis man has died following a deadly shooting that happened on Sunday at a Walmart in Camby, Indiana. The victim has been identified as Matthew Steele. According to reports, Matthew Steele, a resident of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away from injuries sustained after the shooting incident.
How did the incident happen?
The shooting occurred on Sunday afternoon, June 2nd, 2023, at a Walmart in Camby. Around 1:44 p.m., Hendricks County sheriff’s deputies were summoned to Walmart, 8191 Upland Way, in response to a complaint of a shooting. When authorities arrived in the Walmart parking lot around 1:53 p.m., they discovered a guy shot in the torso. Police believe the two men were fighting before it escalated into physical violence, which resulted in the shooting.
What happened to Matthew Steele?
Matthew Steele who has been shot was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital from his injuries. Another man was detained at the scene as a person of interest.
