Newborn baby found dead outside concrete industrial plant in north Harris County, sheriff says. – Celebsity

Texas’s Harris County — Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reports that a newborn baby was discovered dead outside a concrete manufacturing company in north Harris County on Tuesday afternoon.

The infant was found on Henry Road close to the Hardy Toll Road, outside a plant.

A private lawn staff discovered the baby in a deep ditch and reported it to the HPD officers on the site.

The baby was on a blanket and just partially dressed. As of right now, their gender is unclear.

It was difficult for deputies to determine how long the baby had been there before being discovered.

Parents who drop off their children at a safe location, such as a hospital or fire station, are not subject to legal repercussions in Texas, according to HCSO’s reminder. The Safe Haven or Baby Moses statute is the name given to it.

“I would like to bring up the Baby Moses law since it seems like there has been a bit of an epidemic,” HCSO’s John Nanny Harris stated.
