Shooting at Mercer County West Virginia: Mercer County WV Shooting leaves 1 injured and hospitalized
Following a shooting at the Days Inn located off Route 460 in Princeton, West Virginia, four individuals are in the hospital. There was gunshots between two family members. Three bystanders and one of the shooters were hurt by the gunfire. A child is one of the bystanders. The other gunman is still at large, while the injured shooter was transported to a hospital.
According to Lieutenant Steven Sommers of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, all parties involved in the brawl are members of the same family that broke out at a get-together. Although the location of the car that fled the scene has been found, the authorities are not disclosing it just yet. It is believed that the incident happened at a private party close to the Days Inn conference facility. The Princeton Rescue Squad, the Bluefield Rescue Squad, and the West Virginia State Police are present. The initial call was received at 7:56 p.m., according to Mercer County Sheriff’s Department Lieutenant Brian Murphy. Right now, there are two suspects.
