Suspect arrested and charged following Greenacre Fatal Car-Motorcycle Accident that killed 2


Due to suspected participation in a deadly crash that occurred in Sydney’s southwest last month, a man has been prosecuted. Emergency services were called to the intersection of Worth Street and the Hume Highway in Greenacre at 7:55 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, in response to reports of a collision involving a car and a motorcycle.

What Happened?

The motorcycle’s rider, a 26-year-old guy, and pillion passenger, a 24-year-old lady, both passed away at the site. The 25-year-old driver of the vehicle was sent to the hospital and is still in critical condition. At the time of the incident, police believe the motorcycle was a part of a convoy. Investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit investigated the incident’s circumstances and looked over the crime scene.

Yesterday, Saturday, June 8, 2024, at approximately 430 p.m., a male aged 31 was taken into custody at the Bankstown Police Station. He was charged with two charges of hazardous driving resulting in death, dangerous driving causing great bodily harm, and organizing, promoting, or participating in an automobile race. He was denied permission to appear in front of the Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday, June 9, 2024.
