Thomas Kanzelberger Death Steubenville OH, 19-year-old student of The Catholic University of America has died


Thomas Kanzelberger from Steubenville, Ohio, and a 2023 graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School has sadly passed away. He was 19 years old at the time of his death. He was announced dead by Steubenville Catholic Central High School in a statement on social media said “We are shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Thomas Kanzelberger (‘23) earlier this evening. Thomas was very active in the CCHS community and will be sorely missed.” CCHS also added that “The students are gathering tonight at 9:30 for a Rosary at the school. Please join them if you are available. May God bless his family and comfort all who knew him.”

Thomas was getting ready to begin his sophomore year at Catholic University, having just completed his freshman year. Thomas, who was 19 years old, was concentrating on conducting and performing music while he pursued a B.A. in music. In his hometown of Steubenville, Ohio, he attended Steubenville Catholic Central High School, where he ultimately graduated in 2023. Thomas was an exemplary Catholic who loved Jesus and gave many young people hope. He was beloved by many at the school, and his upbeat attitude permeated the entire space.

Thomas Kanzelberger’s celebration of life

This Thursday at 7 PM, Father Michael Gossett and Mrs. Stueve will organize an adoration to pray and honour the life of Thomas Kanzelberger, according to Steubenville Catholic Schools. In Wintersville, at Blessed Sacrament Church, there will be adoration. Come pray and celebrate the life of such a devoted and caring person—students, professors, alumni, and other loved ones are invited. Any student who wants to communicate can speak with someone or pray with them.
