Three persons dead in a murder-suicide in Southwest Miami-Dade, including a toddler

At the intersection of Southwest 152nd Avenue and Bird Road, there is a commercial plaza where the shooting took place. The report came in just before eight in the morning, according to Miami-Dade Police. A minivan was shot up and observed parked close to a Chase ATM with its doors open, as shown in an overhead view of the plaza provided by 7Skyforce. It was parked next to another SUV that nobody knew about.

The woman driving the minivan was in line at the ATM when the male driver of the unnamed SUV drew up next to her. He opened fire, killing the mother and the child in the backseat before turning the gun on himself, according to a Miami-Dade police public relations officer. Their relationships, ages, and identities have not yet been made public. Although one gun has been found, there may be more out there.

Homicide investigators are on the scene and are looking into the incident, though it is still unclear what caused the shooting. It’s a tragic incident that has taken place and family will release burial arrangements respectively.
