23-Year-Old Triple Homicide Suspect From Virginia Arrested-Sheriff Says: Following a fast-paced pursuit on Thursday night, police in New York detained a 23-year-old Virginian suspect in three murders. The Virginia County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office claims that Alyssa Jane Venable is suspected of killing her housemates, Robert John McGuire, 77; Gregory Scott Powell, 60; and Carol Anne Reese, 65.
Around 5:45 p.m., New York State Police attempted to pull over a gray 2009 Honda Civic that fit Venable’s known driving profile on Interstate 86.

After deputies were summoned to their residence in the 10500 block of White Street Court in Spotsylvania for a welfare check, the homicide victims were discovered at around ten o’clock on Tuesday night. The upper body injuries experienced by all three victims was reported by the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the sheriff’s office, Venable is charged with three counts of second-degree murder and one count of using a handgun while committing a crime.
According to the sheriff’s office, certain details of the crime are being kept under wraps so as not to impede the current investigation. They have not provided any details on a potential reason. Detectives from the sheriff’s office and the New York State Police are collaborating to gather further evidence.
Venable was accused with misdemeanor assault and battery last month. Although it will be examined, the sheriff’s office has not stated if the event may have anything to do with the triple homicide that occurred on Tuesday night.
The residents of the house, according to their neighbors, were private and quiet. They stated that they think Venable moved into the house around a month ago.
The relationship between Venable and any of the victims was not disclosed by the authorities.
