Two woman killed in vehicle crash on M-53 in Metro Detroit: After their car was rear-ended on Wednesday on northbound M-53 in Shelby Township, two women, ages 63 and 88, lost their lives.
The collision occurred at 22 Mile Road about 12:52 p.m., according to the police. According to a preliminary inquiry, a 33-year-old male was driving on M-53 when he collided with another car close to a work site. At the scene, the two women were pronounced deceased.
After being transferred to a hospital, the male driver was charged with two counts of traffic violations resulting in death.
